"Premium Swallow's Nest Consommé," Hudson replied smoothly, ladling a portion into Nora's bowl.

Grant tactfully stepped back, knowing he didn't have the audacity to ask Hudson to serve him.

He had just wanted to join the fun and steal a taste.

After taking one sip, Grant shot Hudson a thumbs-up. "Damn, this is incredible! Better than a five-star chef! Hudson, you're practically a god! Is there anything in this world you can't do?"

Beside them, Nora thought of something, a faint smile touching her lips.

Hudson shot Grant a dry look. "Even food can't shut you up, huh?"

Grant chuckled, downing the rest of his broth in a few quick gulps. He wiped his mouth and turned to Nora. "By the way, Nora, I've got something to tell you..."

Nora looked up at him.

Grant pulled two elegant invitations from his pocket. "It's my birthday next week. I'm inviting you and Hudson to the party."

Nora instinctively glanced at Hudson.

Hudson chuckled. "Why are you looking at me? If you want to go, we'll go. If you don't, just say no. You don't need to spare his feelings."

"Hey, come on, man..."

Before Grant could finish his protest, Nora smiled warmly and nodded. "We'll definitely be there."

"Now that's what I'm talking about! It's a date!" Thrilled, Grant went back to the pot to serve himself another bowl.

Sitting beside Nora, Hudson lifted his gaze and gave Grant a pointed look. "Are you done? Anything else?"

Grant nodded while slurping his soup. "Yeah, I'm done. Why? You got orders for me?"

Hudson pointed toward the front door.

"If you're done, get out. I need to take my wife to work."

Grant: "..."

Sebastian: "..."

Ending the call, Hudson returned to the table. "Professor Campbell has an emergency. I have to go back to Northampton."

Nora was stunned. "Right now?"

"Yeah, the car is already waiting outside."

"It's that urgent?"

Hudson reached out, gently ruffling her hair. "Don't worry. I'll be back before you know it."

Though a wave of reluctance washed over her, Nora nodded. "Stay safe."

"I will." Hudson straightened up and looked over at Olive O'Neil. "Stay with my wife for the next few days. Don't let her out of your sight."

"Yes, Boss."

Hudson gave Nora one last lingering look before turning and striding out the door.

Sebastian and Grant hurried after him.

Stopping at the doorway, Grant flashed Nora a wide grin. "Don't forget about next week, Nora!"

"I won't!"
