If Stella was the only one they had to deal with, the task would be simple.
But Jack did not approve of that approach.
“Why don’t you try talking to Miss Rowan first?” he suggested. “Taking her by force might not be a good idea.”
Things between them were already bad enough.
If Felix forcibly dragged Stella to the Black Sea now, she might assume he was planning to do something to her.
By then, she would not only lose faith in Felix.
She might become completely disillusioned with the Hogarth family too.
Felix rubbed his brow, his head aching.
“Get the car.”
He truly felt as though he was losing his mind.
Half an hour later, Felix arrived at the Hogarth castle.
Stella had just finished eating and was feeling thoroughly satisfied.
It had been a long time since she had been in such a good mood.
But the moment she saw Felix, the smile on her face disappeared.
Felix’s expression darkened at the obvious change.
She really was furious with him this time.
“Are you here to accuse me too?” Stella asked. “I didn’t kill Summer.”
She had not defended herself in front of Aaron because she had not known the truth then.
But the moment Aaron walked away, Stella had received the message.
Her five million had never been spent.
Summer’s death had nothing to do with her.
If anyone was to blame, it was Summer herself for making too many enemies.
After all, Summer had a particularly vicious way of offending people.
Whenever she struck, she went straight for their lives.
Hadn’t she taken two lives from Stella too?
“It wasn’t you?” Felix asked.
Disbelief was clear in his voice.
Stella heard it.
A cold smile curved her lips.
“Believe whatever you want. I had nothing to do with it.”
“Although I certainly wanted her dead.”
Then again, neither Evan nor Felix mattered much to her anymore.
“If it isn’t important, why are you here?” Stella asked coldly.
“I’m going to the Black Sea tomorrow. You’re coming with me.”
Stella went still.
The Black Sea?
He wanted to take her with him?
A cold laugh escaped her.
“And you still claim you’re not using me.”
She had already suspected Felix had come to Eirden for another purpose.
She had even suspected that his plans involved using her.
Felix had denied it.
And now here it was.
Everyone knew how dangerous and lawless the Black Sea could be, even from the reports alone.
Felix was going there.
And he intended to bring Stella with him.
