Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 9

Wiping away a fake tear, Yvonne looked up at Eliza, a flash of smugness hidden deep in her eyes. "Eliza, it took Zander so long to recover from the trauma you caused him. Now he has his real family. You left so coldly back then; why did you have to track down his parents' clinic just to hurt him again?"

Unbelievable! Completely twisting the facts to play the victim!

Eliza felt her stomach churn, on the verge of vomiting.

PTSD? Trauma?

She was the one crushed under the rubble three years ago, begging for death!

She was the one who lost her leg and her career!

She was the one who lost their unborn child!

If anyone had trauma, it was her!

"It's a tragedy you're not an actress, Yvonne," Eliza said, her spine ramrod straight as she stared coldly at the three hypocrites. She suddenly felt like stepping into this clinic was the biggest joke of her life.

She took a deep breath, pulled the desperately acquired appointment slip from her bag, and slammed it down on the reception desk.

"Drop the victim complex. I'm here for a consultation on my leg. I couldn't care less about your precious family name, or your..." Eliza glanced at Zander, her eyes utterly devoid of emotion.

"Trash of a son."

Hearing this, Dr. Roth, who had been holding his tongue out of a sense of superiority, finally lost his temper.

With his hands clasped behind his back, he let out a cold snort, his weathered, arrogant face etched with cruelty.

"For your leg?"

Dr. Roth looked down his nose at Eliza's stiff left leg, his booming voice ruthless.

"You're Eliza? Zander told me about you. Western medicine has already deemed your leg a lost cause."
