Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 87

Eliza looked at his evasive gaze and found it utterly pathetic.

This was the man she had loved for ten years.

He claimed to love her, swore he would not agree to a divorce, yet the mere mention of Yvonne turned him into an absolute coward.

"Zander, you truly make me sick. Here, take this. Trash belongs with trash."

Eliza put her phone away, feeling that looking at him for a second longer was a waste of energy. She turned on her heel and walked back through the lobby doors without a backward glance.

She also conveniently shoved the bag of garbage right into his chest.

It felt incredibly satisfying.

Zander stood frozen in place, watching Eliza slowly disappear from his sight.

She used to love him so much. How could she just stop loving him so easily?

Bloodshot intensity flared in Zander's eyes as he violently hurled the bag of trash onto the ground.

He suddenly noticed that the automatic glass doors were on a slight delay and had not completely closed yet.

Zander charged forward like a maniac.

He forced the glass doors apart and squeezed himself inside.

Just in time to see the doors of the private elevator sliding shut.

He stared at the red numbers ticking upward above the elevator.

Finally, the number settled on a steady 9.

Zander instantly rushed to the secondary service elevator and frantically smashed the up button.

The apartments here were exclusive penthouse suites taking up the entire floor.

The entire ninth floor had only one entrance.

It was the pinnacle of privacy.

The thought that Eliza was currently living in a space that belonged exclusively to this man named Julian destroyed whatever shred of sanity Zander had left.

He began pounding on the heavy front door like a deranged lunatic.

"Eliza! Open the door!"

"Open the door! I know you are in there!"

Inside the apartment.
