Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 63

"Based on what Gwen is saying, do you also have feelings for Eliza, Mr. Jordan?"

Eliza had been keeping her head down, pretending to be deeply engrossed in her meal.

At those words, the piece of shrimp slipped from her fork and dropped onto her plate with a soft thud.

She snapped her head to the right in sheer horror.

Julian still maintained his effortlessly aristocratic posture.

But his normally indifferent eyes were now gleaming with a sharp edge of competitiveness.

Hudson felt a violent chill shoot straight up his spine!

Without a second of hesitation, he raised his hand and smacked Gwen right on the back of the head.

The force made her lurch forward.

"Ouch! Hudson, why did you hit me!" she protested, clutching her head.

"Shut your mouth!" Hudson glared at her, grinding his teeth.

"Say one more ridiculous thing, and I'll cut off your credit cards for three months!"

He then turned back to Julian, pasting on a flawless, professional smile. "Mr. Lawrence, my sister has no filter. Please excuse her nonsense."

Hudson's denial was swift, clinical, and absolute!

But Zander was losing his mind with rage!

He slammed his hand on the table again. "Are you two ignoring me? I'm Eliza's husband! Why are you explaining yourself to him?"

Zander pointed an accusing finger at Julian, trembling with indignation.

Julian simply smiled and said, "Not a problem, Mr. Jordan."

Being treated like absolute air made Zander want to rip his own hair out!

Meanwhile, Gwen wasn't the least bit angry about getting hit.

She whipped her head around, her eyes shining as she stared at Julian.

Her brain rapidly replayed his exact phrasing from a moment ago.

"Hold on..." Gwen pointed at Julian.

"Julian! Did you just say, 'also'?"

Gwen's gaze bounced frantically back and forth between him and Eliza.

A massive grin spread across her face, stretching from ear to ear.
