Left for Dead Came Back for Everything novel Chapter 29

The moment she hit the water, the immense impact nearly shattered her internal organs.

The freezing seawater pierced her pores like countless ice picks, violently flooding into her mouth and nose.

Eliza's instinct was to struggle and swim upward, but the very second she tried to kick her legs.

A sharp, agonizing pain violently erupted from her left leg!

Under the shock of the extremely cold seawater, her left leg instantly clamped up, stiffening into a rigid block of stone.

Far more terrifying than the physical agony was the psychological trauma that swept over her like a tidal wave.

Beneath the deep sea, there was no light whatsoever.

This suffocating darkness, this desperate sensation of her body being rigidly confined and unable to move, was too familiar... so familiar it made the blood in Eliza's veins flow backward.

Years ago, during that massive earthquake, she had been similarly pinned under the rubble.

Surrounded by endless darkness, the nauseating stench of blood, and the constant dropping of debris from above.

Back then, she had desperately hoped her childhood sweetheart and husband, Zander, would descend like a god to pull her out of hell.

But what was the result?

What she got, amidst endless despair, was the sight of Zander carrying an uninjured Yvonne, resolutely walking away.

"No... no..."

Seawater choked her throat, and images from the rubble all those years ago flashed uncontrollably before her eyes.

Extreme panic morphed into an invisible giant hand, tightly choking her neck.

She stared wide-eyed in despair beneath the water, her limbs beginning to tremble uncontrollably and lose strength due to the sheer terror and PTSD.

She was like a drowning person trapped in a nightmare, forced to helplessly watch the faint light on the ocean's surface drift further and further away.

And in the exact same second she fell into the sea, up on the slanted deck of the yacht.
