"Enough," York interrupted, taking Hailey's hand with utmost tenderness. "Don't stoop to her level. If she doesn't want to eat, let her be. Watch your emotions; don't let it affect the baby."

Gillian scoffed coldly. Hailey's baby was precious, so she wasn't allowed to be upset, but Gillian was? Was her heart made of stone? Was she supposed to be some emotionless machine?

She turned on her heel and walked away, utterly disgusted by their affectionate display.
