I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 587

Sienna's mind was a mess. Too exhausted to argue with Mrs. Winters, she grabbed her purse, turned on her heel, and stormed out.

Mrs. Winters was in a state of absolute panic.

She had nowhere else to go.

This was Blackwood Manor. She had given her previous residence to Julian and his wife, and Sienna had signed over the other property to Zoe to settle her debts. If she actually fell out with Sienna now, she would be out on the streets, completely homeless.

Hearing the roar of Sienna’s engine starting in the driveway, Mrs. Winters felt her legs give out, and she collapsed onto the floor.

Approaching middle age and staring down the barrel of bankruptcy—orchestrated by her own biological daughter—she was on the verge of a total breakdown, her eyes dry of tears but full of despair.

Dragging herself up and stumbling outside, she wasn't trying to chase down Sienna.

She wanted to find Zoe. She needed to unleash every ounce of her seething rage and resentment onto her.

"You little bitch, you—"

The insult died in her throat. Right before her eyes, she watched Zoe slip into a dark green military SUV. It was part of the very same imposing motorcade Mrs. Winters saw driving past the estate every single day.

Her expression twisted in horror as her stomach plummeted. Violent tremors wracked her body, her legs going so weak she nearly hit the pavement again.

She had spent days wondering which massive VIP was being escorted back and forth in such a grand, intimidating display. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine that the big shot was Zoe.

The world spun around Mrs. Winters, forcing her to lean heavily against a pillar for support.

To think Zoe wielded this much power after joining the Kendall family. If she had known it would be like this, she would have done whatever it took to have Sienna marry Garrett, instead of letting her cling to the memory of her dead husband, Charles, only to be led around by the nose by Hayden.

In her heart, she still believed Sienna was far smarter than Zoe. To her, Zoe was exactly like her ex-husband. If the Lynd family had any brains, they wouldn't have handed their fortune over to Terrence on a silver platter.
