I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 611

Hayden remained silent, while Quentin and Ian Varley simultaneously turned their gazes toward Ethan.

As Hayden stepped into the venue, Ian Varley casually asked Ethan, "How's Easton Group's stock doing lately?"

Ethan Montgomery had just returned from abroad and was still jet-lagged, but he oozed confidence.

"Haven't checked, but you guys should be jealous. You missed the boat when it went public at over a hundred bucks. You couldn't buy in now even if you tried. I'm going to go get Sienna; you guys head inside."

Ethan had spotted Sienna's car pulling up.

Quentin paused and looked at Ian Varley. "Has he lost his mind trying to make a quick buck? Does he seriously not know Easton's trading was suspended?"

Ian Varley shook his head with a trace of pity. "It only happened the day before yesterday. I bet he hasn't even opened his trading app since he bought the stock. Sienna is basically a goddess in his eyes. Don't waste your pity on him."

Quentin sighed in exasperation.

Pity wouldn't save him anyway.

Ethan clearly had no idea the Easton stock he bought was on the verge of being delisted.

Quentin and Ian Varley watched as Ethan eagerly stepped in for Hayden, escorting Sienna out of her Cullinan.

The two of them rolled their eyes and headed inside to find Hayden, leaving Ethan to his delusions.

When Ethan finally led Sienna to where Hayden and Quentin were seated, Sienna, who hadn't seen Hayden in days, felt a pang of grievance. Still, she maintained her composure, walking over and taking a seat next to him as if nothing had happened.

"Hay—"

She caught herself halfway, remembering Hayden's strict warning to call him either 'Mr. Thorne' or by his first name in a strictly formal capacity.

She lowered her eyes and murmured softly, "Mr. Thorne."

Fortunately, Ethan and the others were focused on the stage and didn't notice the sudden shift in how she addressed him.

Hayden gave Sienna a brief, indifferent glance. He simply hummed an acknowledgment before turning his attention back to the stage.

As with the recent tech expos they had attended, this gathering of industry titans was poised to announce the year's top innovators. Zoe's name was undoubtedly on the shortlist.

Sienna listened with burning jealousy as the organizers read the lineup. The grand finale presentation was assigned to none other than Zoe.

They had invited numerous global experts to discuss AI technology, but the deepest, most complex segments had all been entrusted to her.

Quentin casually remarked, "Zoe really knows her stuff."

Ethan scoffed. "Only you guys buy that. The Kendalls are pulling the strings. With the government backing her, a pig could fly."

Ian Varley shot him a bizarre look. "Seriously, Ethan? Your family has massive influence too. If it's just about connections, why didn't you hand her those resources?"
