"Hello, Zoe. Hello, Mr. Lynd."

Zoe couldn't help but laugh at being addressed that way, and even Garrett's lips twitched upward, amused by them.

"Just call me Garrett," he corrected. Even though he quite enjoyed the assumption, he still spoke up to stop it.

Not long after Garrett and Zoe appeared, many people rushed over to greet them.

Zoe consciously stepped back. Her interest lay in the innovative tech at the expo, not in socializing.

"Director Lynd, what a coincidence. Got squeezed out, huh?"

Hearing a familiar voice, Zoe turned around to meet Ethan Montgomery's handsome but slightly malicious expression.

She frowned involuntarily, feeling like he was a dog whose tail had been stepped on, always barking every time he saw her.

"Mr. Montgomery."

Zoe nodded politely but had no desire to converse with him further.

"Director Lynd, Garrett canceled the partnership with Easton Group just for you. I heard from Vice President Winters that it could have brought Sterling Group at least tens of billions in revenue. You spent every day clinging to Hayden, and now that you know you don't stand a chance, you've moved on to ruin Garrett. What a brilliant strategy."

The last expo was a joint launch by Sterling and Easton, and she was a participant, which is why Garrett let her shine. How could there be any chance of him promoting her this time?
