I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 159

Before Zoe even had a chance to read Cherry's message, Nadia Fox's call came in.

Her eyelid twitched. After a few seconds of hesitation, she answered.

"Zoe, my book."

Zoe's heart pounded; she knew this reaper was coming to demand her stuff.

"Yeah, I'll hire a courier to send it to your firm."

Hearing that her goods were arriving, Nadia was extremely satisfied.

She didn't give Zoe a hard time and simply hung up.

Zoe's head throbbed. Fortunately, after organizing the drafts on her computer last time, she had drawn Asher Kendall's face from memory. She then hired a small studio to splice Asher and Nadia's faces onto the comic characters she had previously drawn.

She scrambled the plot and chapters, mashed some random storylines together, wrote up an outline, and sent it off to be synthesized.

It just so happened that the studio had finished production, so she sent them Nadia's office address to have it delivered straight to her workplace.

Regardless, at least she could hand something over.

After completing all this, Zoe finally let out a long sigh of relief.

She felt that not working was even more exhausting than working.

Mentally exhausted.

Zoe stayed holed up at home all day, not going anywhere.

After being tormented by Hayden for hours just to get the comic back, her body was completely sore.

She still hadn't recovered.

A few hours later, the sound of a car engine echoed from downstairs.

Zoe thought Hayden was back.

But it was Mrs. Gable who led Nadia into the house.

"Zoe!"

Nadia hugged Zoe and kissed her on the cheek.

"Spit it out."

She only ever visited when she wanted something.

"You drew it so well."

Stars literally sparkled in Nadia's eyes.

Zoe's delicate brows twitched.

She felt too guilty to even look Nadia in the eye.

Honestly, she hadn't even reviewed the outsourced comic.

Mostly because she was afraid it would burn her eyes.

She really didn't want to accidentally visualize Nadia and Asher.

Though...

Startled, Zoe immediately squeezed her eyes shut, afraid of seeing something eye-scorching.

Nadia forcefully pried her eyelids open.

"What are you afraid of? Asher is fully clothed."

Only then did Zoe dare to sneak a peek at the screen. Asher was indeed dressed impeccably, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

"I think the content and actions are quite good. But the expressions and details are lacking a bit. I'll send you some photos of him so you can study them closely."

Zoe took a sip of water to calm her nerves and muttered softly.

"As long as they aren't nudes."

Nadia heard her and cast a highly disdainful look.

"Don't worry, even if you wanted to see them, I'd never share."

She was keeping the private goods all to herself to slowly admire.

While the two were chatting, a woman's voice drifted up from outside the restaurant window.

"If you don't love me, then don't stop me from being with someone else."

A fresh layer of goosebumps erupted on Zoe's neck.

What era was it, and people were still playing out this clichΓ© garbage?

Zoe and Nadia both stuck their heads out the window at the same time.

Downstairs, a well-built man was grabbing onto a woman in a form-fitting long dress.
