Ottilie forced her muscles to relax, signaling her utter compliance.

Yorath stared down at her. Her eyes were clear, devoid of any desire, reflecting only his imposing figure in the dark pupils.

He had seen her when she was burning with genuine passion.

Once you've tasted the sweetest fruit and experienced absolute ecstasy, anything less feels like a hollow compromise.

And Yorath refused to compromise.

The heat in his gaze rapidly cooled.

"You don't want to?"

Ottilie opened her mouth, lightly biting his finger as she mumbled, "I do want to."

Her lips were soft and delicate, warm like flower petals.

He lowered his head to kiss her.

Instinctively, Ottilie flinched away.

They both froze.

Recovering quickly, Ottilie offered an apologetic smile and looped her arms around his neck.

"Sorry. It's been too long. I'm just a little out of practice."

Using the leverage, she lifted her upper body to kiss him.

Before their lips could meet, he slammed her back down against the mattress.

He kissed her fiercely, hungrily, as if trying to devour her alive.

Ottilie forced herself to respond.

But a few seconds later, Yorath grabbed her jaw and pulled away, his breathing ragged. "Ottilie, your acting is terrible."

Ottilie stiffened. "Yorath, I swear I want this."

She leaned in to kiss him again.

Yorath pushed her away, stood up, and pulled his clothes back on. "I don't force people."

Ottilie leaned against the headboard. She could see how desperately worked up he was, and she didn't want to give up just yet.

Once she paid her 'legal fees,' she could finally pack her things and move back to her cheap apartment.

"Do you have any alcohol? A drink will get me in the mood." She started to climb out of bed to find a bottle.

"Don't bother," Yorath said coldly. "I'm not so desperate that I need you to drink to endure me."
