Stella's blood boiled, a searing wave of fury rushing straight to her head.

She had assumed George's threats to use Grandma as a pawn were just bluffs. She never imagined he would actually ambush the house and abduct her!

George was clearly infuriated by her lack of respect. "I brought my mother-in-law to the city to live with us. Is that a crime? Besides, didn't you constantly complain about wanting to see her more?"
