His grip was agonizing. Stella tried to turn her head away to escape his touch, but he refused to let go.

Frustration finally bubbled up inside Stella. She looked him dead in the eye. "I'm not being considerate; I'm being selfish. But since you're clearly furious that I humiliated you, and you already have someone you love, why refuse to end this early? What, did sleeping with me suddenly make you fall for me?"
