She quickly called Jarrod's driver. Learning that he was indeed waiting in the parking garage, Stella walked over and handed him the elegant gift box.

"He's busy right now, but please give this to him later."

Summer watched the entire exchange in disbelief.

Afterward, the two of them visited an antique watch and glassware boutique, where Summer picked out a vintage Swiss pocket watch worth thousands of dollars.

Summer mentioned that Lucca had recently taken an interest in vintage watches, and she wanted to surprise him.

Realizing her slip, Summer looked apologetic. "Stella, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to bring up bad memories."

Hearing Logan's name still brought a faint ache to Stella's chest.
