The living room was empty, but there was noise coming from the kitchen.
Logan must have known her stomach would be killing her from all the drinking, so he was making her breakfast!
Stella practically sprinted toward the kitchen. "Lo..."
But the second she got close, she realized something was wrong.
The man's back was perfectly straight. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, cutting an incredibly imposing, athletic figure—far more muscular than Logan, who had been bedridden for three years.

"What, still hungover?" Jarrod asked.
Stella desperately forced her brain to reboot. She took two small steps backward, choosing her words carefully. "I'm fine now. Thank you, Mr. Fuller. I'm sorry for being such a nuisance."
She had absolutely no memory of what happened later in the night.
But considering she had woken up completely naked, she figured it couldn't have been pretty.
Jarrod stared at her face.
Compared to her ghostly pallor from the night before, some of her color had returned.
All the needy vulnerability and demanding tears from last night were completely gone, replaced by her usual docile, submissive mask.
Jarrod raised an eyebrow and asked bluntly, "What happened yesterday?"
Stella's fingers curled into fists.
After finding out from Summer that Logan was awake, she had dropped everything and rushed to the hospital.
And then...
