The living room was empty, but there was noise coming from the kitchen.

Logan must have known her stomach would be killing her from all the drinking, so he was making her breakfast!

The man's back was perfectly straight. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, cutting an incredibly imposing, athletic figure—far more muscular than Logan, who had been bedridden for three years.

But considering she had woken up completely naked, she figured it couldn't have been pretty.

Jarrod stared at her face.

Compared to her ghostly pallor from the night before, some of her color had returned.

All the needy vulnerability and demanding tears from last night were completely gone, replaced by her usual docile, submissive mask.

Jarrod raised an eyebrow and asked bluntly, "What happened yesterday?"

Stella's fingers curled into fists.
