Game Over, Mr. CEO: Your Wife Is Done (Winter and Chris) novel Chapter 481

Chapter 481

“Warren, what’s wrong?”

Sasha scrambled up from the floor in a panic. Her heart seemed to stop, and even her steps felt unsteady

But the moment her hand touched him, he shoved her away with the back of his hand.

He used so much force that Sasha staggered back and nearly fell to the floor. Her ankle twisted, sending a sharp pain through her, but she couldn’t care about that now.

The man’s face looked even worse than before.

He grabbed the box of tissues from the table, pulled out several sheets, and roughly wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and his fingers. He completely ignored the woman he had just pushed

away.

But Sasha was used to his coldness.

All these years, she had been the one desperately trying to get close to him. At a time like this, she cared

even less about his attitude.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you sick? Let’s go to the hospital, okay?”

She stepped forward and gripped his hand tightly.

He shoved her hand away again and said coldly, “Get out.”

Sasha stood there as if she had been dropped into an ice cellar.

Then she suddenly thought of something. She turned and rushed to the closet, found the clothes she had brought with her, and pulled out an outfit.

She didn’t even go to the bathroom. She changed right there in the room.

In the past, she never would have dared.

She knew where his boundaries were, and she knew better than to touch them. Otherwise, even the leverage she held over him would no longer be enough to control him.

But right now, her mind was filled with the sight of him coughing up blood. She had no room left to worry about whether she would make him angry.

He didn’t even glance her way. Whatever she was doing, he clearly didn’t care.

Sasha quickly changed and ran back to him.

“Come on. We’re going to the hospital.”

As she spoke, she reached out to help him.

The middle-aged man slowly turned his head and glanced at her hand. Then his gaze moved up to her face, his eyes filled with mockery.

“Aren’t you afraid Chris’s people will find you?”

Sasha’s eyes were red. “That doesn’t matter. I’m taking you to the hospital.”

A cold laugh slipped from his throat.

“Get away from me.”

He shoved her away again and stared at her with a chilling gaze.

Sasha looked at his lips. After he wiped away the blood, they looked even paler than before.

His lips moved slightly as he said, “I don’t need your fake concern. I’m not dying yet.”

Fake concern.

Sasha froze, and her eyes reddened even more.

“You think my concern for you is fake?”

A bitter ache surged through her chest. It felt as if something were lodged there, making it hard to breathe. She opened her mouth.

“After all these years, haven’t you seen how I’ve treated you? How I’ve treated your child?”

“You call that treating her well?” he interrupted mercilessly. “Using her as a bargaining chip and not caring whether she lived or died?”

Sasha’s lashes trembled under his questioning, and her expression stiffened.

He threw the bloodstained tissues onto the table.

“That night, Winnie somehow drove out to the suburbs. What exactly did you do?”
