"Celine—" Warren's mind went blank, and he instinctively lunged for the doors.

"Hold him back." Shanley's gaze turned icy as he barked an order.

Felton and Flint immediately restrained the frantic man.

"Let me go!" Warren struggled desperately, only one thought echoing in his mind. He needed to see Celine. He had to be with her.

"Calm down." Shanley strode forward, gripping Warren's shoulder, his voice sharp and commanding. "It's chaos in there right now. Going in will only get in the way. Why do you think Juniper told you to wait outside?"

"The operating room is freezing, and she hates the cold. She must be so terrified. I just want to be with her."

Warren's voice cracked. His bloodshot eyes were filled with unspeakable agony. "Shanley, you know exactly how terrified I am."

"I know." Shanley let out a heavy sigh, wrestling with his own emotions. "But I also trust Juniper. With her in there, Celine will make it."

"I trust her too." Warren's strength gave out, and he slumped weakly against the wall, utterly desolate.

The others weren't faring any better.

Theia and Silas collapsed into the waiting chairs, their minds entirely blank.

"Jimmie, I'm scared."

Luella looked down at the adorable baby in her arms, her eyes welling up with tears.

"She'll pull through."

Jimmie pressed a kiss to her forehead, murmuring softly, "Look how cute the little guy is. So rosy-cheeked, just like his mom."

"Yeah."

Luella nodded, gently stroking his beautiful little face. "Be a good boy. We're going to wait right here for Mommy to come out."

Arthur opened his eyes, blinked at her, and lay quietly in her arms.

Juniper stood in her blue sterile scrubs, her pure white gloves now drenched in crimson.

The doctor nodded, but as they turned to hand over the forceps, they collided with a nurse carrying sterile gauze.

"Crash—"

The instruments clattered to the floor. The blood-soaked gauze blossomed against the tiles like a striking, sinister red flower.

Juniper's heart hammered against her ribs, but her hands didn't tremble an inch. She steadied her breathing, her eyes flashing with a terrifying coldness.

In a split second, the entire operating room fell dead silent. Everyone stared at Juniper in absolute terror.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" The two staff members stammered, paralyzed by fear.

"Clean it up, now!" Another doctor quickly shoved a fresh pair of forceps into Juniper's hand and barked at the two crouching on the floor.

Juniper took the forceps, instantly snapping back into her zone. She clamped the wound, sutured it flawlessly, and said in a low voice, "Cut the thread."

"Done," the assisting doctor replied.

Juniper took two steps back, keeping her eyes locked on the surgical site to monitor the bleeding.
