Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1592

"Juniper!"

Seeing her walk in, Warren stood up, his voice laced with guilt.

Juniper didn't even acknowledge him. She walked right past him and crouched down beside Celine.

The swollen belly, the fragile frame, the pale complexion...

Ten months of pregnancy—how on earth had Warren been taking care of her?!

"Juniper..." Having taken the painkillers, Celine looked a bit more spirited. She offered a gentle smile. "Don't be scared. It's going to be okay."

Driving from Eclara City to Liberty Island normally took at least eight hours. She must have rushed over in an absolute panic.

Juniper held Celine's hand. She opened her mouth, but it felt as if something was lodged in her throat, making it unbearably hard to speak.

She had delivered countless babies and witnessed tragedies where both mother and child were lost.

She knew exactly how dangerous and difficult becoming a mother could be.

She just never expected that one day, the person on the operating table would be her own beloved sister.

"Mhm." Juniper nodded, forcing a smile. "With so many people here, you'll definitely be fine."

"I believe in you." Celine's eyes grew damp as she squeezed Juniper's hand, looking a bit vulnerable. "Stay right here with me."

"Mom, Dad, and the rest of the family are on their way too. We'll all be right by your side." Juniper tucked the blanket around her, keeping her composure. "Save your strength. Leave the rest to us."

"Mhm." Celine claimed she wasn't afraid, but her anxious expression gave her away completely.

"Let me check your vitals first." Juniper focused intently. As she finished the assessment, a subtle shift flickered across her expression.

But she didn't let Celine see it.

After the checkup, Juniper stood up. As she walked past Warren, she stopped.

Warren was so nervous he didn't even know what to do with his hands.

He was a powerful man, older, and her brother-in-law. Yet, standing in front of this sister who was over a decade younger, he felt entirely suppressed by her aura.

"Come outside," Juniper said coldly.

Many of the drugs they hadn't even heard of.

They were the latest developments, hastily transported from Subterra Vanguard.

"As for the rest..." Juniper pursed her lips, her voice dropping. "No matter what complications arise, my sister's life comes first."

"Are we clear on that, Warren?"

"Of course." Warren could barely process anything else right now.

As long as Celine was safe, he would gladly trade his own life.

"You are the finest doctors from Subterra Vanguard and Liberty Island. I trust you can keep both mother and child safe." Juniper's gaze swept across the room. "As long as they make it through, I'll sign a blank check for all of you to fill out as you please."

"Ms. Specter, there's no need for that."

The group felt deeply honored and quickly replied, "It's a privilege to work for you."

"Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to keep her and the baby safe."
