Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1579

She wore a long, flowing dress today. Her long hair was slightly curled, her makeup impeccable, and the diamond necklace around her neck sparkled brilliantly.

Janet was already naturally petite and sweet, but dressed up like this, she was incredibly captivating.

"The rooftop suite is ready, and the others have arrived. We can just head straight over."

Luella pushed Jimmie away, sidled up to Juniper, and linked her arm through hers. "Juniper, I want to ride in the same car as you. Mwah, mwah."

Jimmie, who was suddenly shoved aside: "?"

And Shanley, who was just about to reach for Juniper: "?"

"Is there a problem?" Juniper asked.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" Luella echoed.

Shanley: "None at all."

Jimmie: "Wouldn't dare."

The two men exchanged a helpless glance and walked outside.

Melvin followed right behind Janet, the corners of his mouth unconsciously curling upward.

Moonlight Peak.

Everyone attending the birthday dinner had arrived.

Since Janet wasn't one for loud, wild parties, the gathering was kept simple.

Exchanging gifts, making a wish, and blowing out the candles.

"What did you wish for, Janet?" Luella teased from the side.

"Health for my family and friends," Janet replied.

Her family naturally included Juniper and everyone here.

"That's right, that's right. We're practically all family anyway."

Luella narrowed her eyes and deliberately prompted, "Melvin, aren't you going to help Janet pass out the cake?"

"Right."

Melvin stepped forward, looked at Janet, and said softly, "I'll help you."

"Thank you."

Blushing, Janet handed the sliced plates to Melvin.

Once everyone was served.

The group naturally broke off—some were singing, some were chatting.

Janet sat quietly next to Juniper, a blissful smile radiating from her face.

Juniper glanced at Melvin, then at Janet, and suddenly stood up.

"Where are you going?" Shanley, who was peeling a tangerine for her, asked in confusion.

Hearing that, Melvin's alarm bells rang. He instantly threw himself over to shield her.

"Smash—"

The kettle hit his shoulder, and the water inside soaked his entire upper body.

"Mr. Steele, are you okay?"

With the plan executed perfectly, the waiter wore a highly exaggerated look of panic. "That water was really hot."

The next second.

Janet leaped to her feet, rushed to his side, and asked frantically, "Are you burned? Does it hurt?"

"Huh?"

Melvin froze, realizing that the water was lukewarm at best. Where was the heat?

"It looks really serious." Juniper didn't move an inch from her seat, crossing her arms to enjoy the show. "You'd better go to a private room and take off your shirt to check right away. If it leaves a scar, no one's going to want you."

"Huh?" Melvin looked over at Juniper. The girl was staring at him intensely. In that instant, he understood Juniper's brilliant setup.

Truly his blood sister!

"Ahhhh—" Melvin snapped his gaze back, hunched over, and let out a fake, agonized groan. "It hurts, it hurts, it hurts so much!"

Juniper went dead silent.

So fake!
