Don't Mess with the Girl with Candy novel Chapter 1550

"No way."

Saskia thought for a moment, then shook her head, dismissing the terrifying thought.

Mr. Steele looked like a perfectly upstanding gentleman. How could he possibly do something like that?

She was definitely just overthinking things.

That morning.

As soon as Janet arrived at the classroom, she saw an elaborate breakfast sitting on her desk.

"I heard Kian had someone deliver it." Her desk mate flashed a gossipy grin. "Janet, Kian really pays a lot of attention to you."

"It used to be girls chasing after him. No one's ever seen him chase a girl before."

Staring at the breakfast, Janet frowned, falling silent.

She was absolutely certain.

Kian couldn't understand human words.

"I already ate." Janet pushed the breakfast toward her desk mate, speaking indifferently: "If you want it, it's yours."

"Really?"

Her desk mate, a bit of a foodie, happily accepted. "Thanks, Janet."

"If he brings breakfast when I'm not here in the future, could you please turn it down for me?"

"Why?" Her desk mate was puzzled. "You don't like Kian?"

So many girls in the department wanted to be his girlfriend.

Word was, he was going to be recommended for grad school.

He knew how to network, the professors liked him, and he was definitely going to have a bright future.

Janet thought for a moment, then shook her head. "I don't like him."

Her desk mate munched away: "Well, that's a shame."

In the afternoon.

After finishing up with the association and his company, Melvin came to the university to make his presence known again.

Just as he approached the law building, he saw Janet with her back to him.

Melvin scoffed coldly, turning and walking away, leaving the two girls staring in shock.

After finishing talking with Kian.

Janet felt like her head was about to explode.

She had already told him she wasn't interested, yet he was still grinning and telling her she was just "shy" and "embarrassed."

Not only did he not understand human words, his hearing was just straight-up broken.

In the end, Janet walked away in utter exasperation.

Following the agreed-upon location, she found Melvin's car under a large tree by the campus gates.

Melvin was leaning against the car door, a cigarette clamped between his fingers, half-burnt to ash.

His gaze was lowered, his expression icy. He did not look like he was in a good mood.

"Mr. Steele."

Janet was startled by the chill rolling off him. She stopped a few steps away and called out cautiously.

Melvin turned his head, immediately extinguishing the cigarette in his hand, and waved her over. "Why are you standing so far away?"
