"Okay."
The next morning, Winnie woke to find the space beside her already empty.
Her chest tightened at once.
Yesterday had felt like a honeymoon after their separation, all that holding and kissing and talk. Surely she hadn't given herself away?
Winnie dressed quickly and hurried downstairs, only to find Michael coming toward her carrying breakfast.
He wore nothing but a simple light blue shirt on top and loose lounge pants below, but his entire presence was worlds apart from the day before, brighter, warmer, full of life again.
Winnie bounded down the stairs, bouncing along like an excitable little rabbit.
The sight startled Michael badly. He set down the tray and crossed the room in a few quick strides to catch her. "Slow down, you'll trip and fall!"
"How could I fall with you here?" Winnie laughed softly, looping her arms around his neck and pressing a kiss to the side of his face.
"Still, you need to be careful. You're not just yourself anymore these days."
Michael let out a helpless sigh, then took her hand and led her slowly to the table, pouring her a glass of warm milk.
Winnie stared at the spread of food covering the table, startled. "When did you even get up to do all this?"
The apartment had been completely bare the night before, and now it was suddenly stocked full.
"Not too early." Michael cut up the sausage and eggs on the plate and held a bite up to her mouth.
Winnie blushed and took the utensils from his hand instead. "Why so sappy all of a sudden? I can feed myself."
"Winnie, don't worry. From now on, I'll take good care of you and our baby."
Michael's voice was firm, his eyes fixed on her with complete sincerity.

The readers' comments on the novel: Billionaire's Match (by Tangy Candy)
Will more chapters be downloaded? It’s been awhile and I’m still seeing chapter 1175....
When will chapter 1044 and more bd downloaded?...
This is the story that I like reading. The heroine got the hold of the situation right away. No humiliation, no injustice, which keep the readers feeling bad all the way while waiting for the right thing to settle in favor of the heroine. Good storyline, congrats writer!...
