Better Late, But Never His Again novel Chapter 176

Hazel absolutely believed it, but she acted as though she hadn't heard a word. She turned to Nellie. "Nellie, since we have to wait anyway, let's go browse somewhere else. No rush to leave now."

Nellie smiled and agreed, linking her arm through Hazel's as they turned to leave. Chloe immediately stepped into their path, spreading her arms wide to block them.

"Where do you think you're going? Are you scared? Julian is on his way, running won't save you now!"

She stared at Hazel, her eyes gleaming with malice. "Hazel, if you really don't want a divorce, there is one other option."

Hazel paused and looked at her. "What option?"

Chloe smirked, a vicious light flashing in her eyes. "Beg for my mercy and apologize right now. Tell me you were wrong to convince me to stay abroad, that you regret it deeply, and maybe even slap yourself a few times."

Hazel stared at her as if she were looking at a complete stranger, as if she had never known her at all.

To hear this girl demand she beg and humiliate herself was truly ironic.

"You're delusional," Hazel replied, her lips curving into a smile that didn't reach her eyes. "I will never regret my choices."

Chloe's face flushed bright red with rage, her knuckles turning white from how tightly she was clenching her fists. "Just wait until Julian gets here. You'll regret it!"

Hazel didn't waste another second engaging with her. She pulled Nellie along and walked straight into the neighboring boutique.

Chloe stood frozen, her arms crossed, glaring until their figures disappeared through the doorway of the next store.

With a frustrated huff, she spun around and stormed back to the cash register. Evelyn was standing amidst the scattered clothes, gazing down at the champagne dress.
