The older woman recalled using similar words to humiliate Sienna Sloan just a few days ago.
Now, this girl she had always looked down upon was throwing those exact words back in her face, doubling the price—a blatant slap in the face.
The elderly woman's complexion went from flushed to pale, her lips trembling as she struggled to find her voice.
Watching her choke on her own fury, Sienna let out a low chuckle and issued another eviction notice. "I'm done talking. Now, please leave."
"Leave? You think this is over?"
Instead of standing, Eleanor leaned back against the sofa, adopting a haughty, superior posture.
She launched into an interrogation. "You pushed Celeste down the stairs, putting her in the hospital with severe injuries. Not to mention all the times you framed her before.
And you dare speak to me with that tone? Do you think the Sterlings are so easily bullied?"
She glared at Sienna, her eyes brimming with disdain. "Call the cops if you want. Do you really think our family's influence in the Capital can't handle a tiny police precinct?"
Sienna had figured that a simple phone call would have sufficed if this were just about the divorce.
So she was here to back Celeste up.
Sienna smiled mockingly. "So, the instigator was too scared to show her face and sent her handler to vent her anger instead?"
"What do you mean, handler?!" The older woman flared up the moment she heard the veiled insult toward Celeste. "Watch your mouth!"
In a fit of rage, she raised her hand to slap Sienna, her movement fast and vicious.
But before her hand could even graze Sienna's face, Sienna grabbed her wrist in an iron grip.
Sienna held nothing back, squeezing so hard the older woman's face turned a sickly shade of blue.
