Jarred snapped in a low growl.

Celeste pressed her lips together, swallowing the rest of her sentence under his warning glare.

Watching their little intimate exchange only made Sienna feel sick to her stomach.

The whole world knew Celeste was the untouchable gem in Jarred's heart.

While she, his lawful wife, was nothing but a pathetic joke.

To her, Celeste's words just now were a blatant, flaunting display of their romance.

She coldly eyed their linked arms, her tone detached. "If you want to put on a romantic show, do it somewhere else. This is a medical zone."

Celeste flushed, ducking her head in bashful shyness.

Jarred, however, furrowed his brow. "Sienna, watch your mouth."

Sienna met his gaze without flinching, a mocking edge to her voice. "I've always known my boundaries. I can easily tell the difference between platonic friends and lovers."

Jarred's expression instantly darkened.

Rage swirled in his eyes, looking as though he wanted to tear the woman in front of him to shreds.

While the two remained locked in a standoff, Celeste silently turned and slipped into the lounge.

When she emerged, she was carrying a medical kit. Under the stunned gazes of the crowd, she headed straight for the courtyard gates.

"Stop." Jarred called out to her. "Where are you going?"

"The villager who came for a doctor must be getting anxious," Celeste said softly. "Since no one else is willing to go, I'll take a look."
