"She recklessly prescribed meds to the youngest son of the Zellers..."
Sienna stood her ground, glancing at the outwardly composed Celeste, fully prepared to air out every one of her past sins in front of the crowd.
"Shut your mouth!"
Jarred's sharp command violently severed Sienna's sentence.
His furious shout instantly plunged the entire courtyard into dead silence.
The pure malice rolling off him terrified everyone into absolute stillness.
Jarred glared at Sienna's frosty face, his words meant to draw blood. "The only reason her license was suspended is because you framed her.
She has backed down time and time again, letting it go. What more do you want? Sienna, will you only be satisfied when you've completely ruined her?"
Staring at the man whose moral compass was so utterly broken, Sienna suddenly laughed out of pure disbelief.
She had produced all the hard evidence, and Celeste herself had admitted fault.
Yet, twisted in Jarred's mind, it became her toxic scheme to frame an innocent woman.
Was that how it worked? Did men just go completely blind when it came to their precious first loves?
She gave a scathing sneer, tapping the side of her head. "Jarred, is that thing sitting on your neck just a tumor?
If you can't think, fine, but to lack basic cognitive function? What's the point of even having a brain? Just for decoration?"
Jarred's face darkened so severely it looked like a storm cloud about to burst.
The silence around them was so heavy you could hear a pin drop.
Nobody dared to breathe.
Sienna wasn't sure if it was just her imagination.
She thought she saw Jarred's frame shaking slightly, as if he were forcefully suppressing something.
But how could that be?
The man was bulletproof, wearing an armor of absolute arrogance.
A single insult from her could wound him?
What a joke.
