"Fine, I will."
And then she actually bit him again.
This time, it was harder than before. He hissed in pain but still didn't pull away. "So obedient?"
Audrina released him and looked up. "Didn't you tell me to bite harder?"
He ruffled the back of her hair. "Stubborn."
Audrina: ?
Not understanding what he meant, she sat up and pulled away from his embrace.
They had gone so crazy last night that she hadn't even had time to check her phone.
She unlocked her screen and forwarded the financial reports Zachary had sent her to him. "If you have time after meeting your future wife, could you help me see if there's anything wrong with these? I'm leaving. No need to see me out."
After changing into her clothes, she practically marched straight out the door.
Sebastian stared at the doorway, watching her leave so decisively, his brows drawing together in a tight frown.
...
That afternoon, Sebastian arrived at the location Felix Hawthorne had sent him to meet his so-called blind date.
When he got there, the other party was already waiting.
The woman was sitting by the window, looking utterly bored as she lazily stirred her coffee, clearly having been there for a while.
Hearing the commotion, she looked up—
And instantly looked as if she had been nailed to her chair.
The waiter led Sebastian into the private room. With his suit jacket draped over his arm, he gave her a polite nod.
Turning to the waiter, he added casually, "A pour-over, please."
There wasn't a single ripple of emotion on his face.
They locked eyes for three seconds.
The woman abruptly sprang to her feet.
She opened her mouth, her face flashing from shock to pure panic, before her ears turned a fiery red.
But she couldn't resist sneaking another peek.
He seemed like such a frigid, uninteresting man. Aside from that gorgeous face, was there really anyone willing to sleep with him?
Unless he found someone who was entirely compliant...
Sebastian just wanted to get this formality over with as quickly as possible. "I assume you have no interest in me?"
"I-I guess you could say that..."
In truth, she simply didn't dare to have any interest.
"Alright then." The man stood up. "Just tell your family you weren't interested."
"Okay!" She nodded enthusiastically. "You should have said so earlier! I thought someone like you would never end up at a blind date. It seems you've kept things hidden a little too well..."
The man was clearly already taken, completely unapologetic about the prominent marks left on his neck.
It made her job easy. She could just go back and tell her family he wasn't interested. Everyone wins.
Sebastian didn't bother replying, merely glancing at his watch. "Then we'll call it a day. I have other matters to attend to this afternoon. See you around."
