Bait for a Gentleman novel Chapter 60

She walked out of the bathroom, the hem of the shirt falling to the middle of her thighs. Her bare legs were on full display, and her feet were swimming in the oversized slippers, her toes curled up to keep them on. She was completely swallowed up by his white dress shirt.

The sleeves were rolled up twice, exposing her slender forearms.

Her slightly wavy hair was blown half-dry, a few damp strands clinging to the sides of her face.

Her flawless makeup had been scrubbed clean, leaving her lips a natural, soft pink.

The heating in the apartment was cranked up, and the collar of the shirt hung slightly open, revealing her delicate collarbones.

She walked over to the dining room, pulled out a chair, and sat down right next to Sebastian.

The man's gaze had been glued to her the entire time.

"What are you looking at?" Audrina rested her chin in her hands, staring back at him.

She was sitting very close to him. The faint, floral scent of her body wash easily overpowered the rich aroma of the food on the table, weaving its way straight into his senses.

Audrina's eyes swept over the long dining table. "Eat first. I'll wait for you."

Sebastian pulled his gaze away, emphasizing once again, "Eat with me."

His tone left absolutely no room for argument, and she didn't bother fighting him. "Alright."

Come to think of it, this was actually the very first time she had sat down to eat with Sebastian like this.

In his home, there were no extravagant banquets, no fake, polite business chatter.

Audrina didn't want to ruin the mood.

It had genuinely been a very long time since someone had quietly kept her company over a simple, home-cooked meal.

During her three years in the US, she was basically just eating to survive.

Her palate had never quite adjusted to the heavy Western diets during her three years in the States.

After returning to the country, aside from that one meal with Willow Sinclair, she had just been picking at whatever she could find at the station.

But now, the mouthwatering aroma filling the table had completely reawakened her appetite.

Sebastian picked up his fork, eating with slow, measured elegance, glancing at her every now and then with a faint smirk.

She had claimed she already ate, but now she was practically inhaling her food.

By the time they finished, it was almost midnight. Sebastian smoked a cigarette, sat for a while, and then went to shower.

The bathroom was still filled with leftover steam, and the first thing he saw was Audrina's bra hanging right on the rack...

Using the momentum, Audrina smoothly flipped over and straddled his lap.

She wrapped her arms around his neck and purred, "Are you still throwing a tantrum?"

Sebastian didn't answer, simply tilting his head back to meet her eyes.

Audrina leaned down, her lips brushing lightly against the corner of his mouth.

In a situation like this, such a fleeting, teasing touch felt entirely like playing hard to get.

Sebastian clamped a hand onto the back of her head, forcing her down against him.

He captured her lower lip, biting down with just enough force to make his frustration crystal clear.

Audrina let out a muffled gasp, wrapping her arms tighter around him.

Sebastian tilted his neck back, his Adam's apple bobbing sharply as his hand slid from the back of her head down to her waist.

His palm pressed flush against her side, feeling her soft, radiating heat right through the thin fabric of the shirt.

The man forced himself to pull back just a fraction, asking in a dangerously rough voice:

"Weren't you planning on getting pregnant? What, did the results come out? Is he impotent?"
