Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 605

The police arrived quickly.

Janina handed over the surveillance footage from her dashcam. Luckily, the attack had happened right in front of her car, so getting evidence of the assault was easy. Otherwise, she would have had to ask the property management to pull the garage's security footage, which would have taken a lot more time.

It was already one in the morning by the time she got home.

The police said they would give her an update after their investigation. Whether it was a robbery or something else, she wouldn't let them off the hook.

Attempted murder was enough to put them away for years.

In a society governed by law, there were still people brazenly trying to harm others. Did they think she was too kind?

If she hadn't learned to fight, if she hadn't had pepper spray, she might have been at their mercy tonight.

Lying in bed, Janina was struck by a wave of lingering fear. It had all happened so suddenly.

She didn't understand.

Why had things come to this?

Ever since the crystal ball incident, her life had been in constant turmoil.

Suddenly, a thought struck her. She quickly grabbed her phone, intending to call Maggie, but then realized how late it was. Maggie would already be asleep.

So she sent Maggie a message on WhatsApp, asking her to find a few reliable bodyguards.

After sending the message, she still felt it wasn't enough. She immediately sent another message to Kenneth, also asking him to find bodyguards.

Kenneth had a wider network and knew more people; she trusted him to find the right security.

Only after doing all this did Janina finally close her eyes and try to sleep.

The next day, Janina told her colleagues about the attack she had experienced the night before, sending a wave of fear through the group.

She told them because she wanted them all to be careful and aware of their own safety. She had a strong feeling that last night's attack was no ordinary robbery.
