"Yes."
"You shouldn't be seeing him." In Elmer's eyes, Herbert was no better than Fairfax. The man had indirectly caused Starla immense pain when she was desperate enough to fake her own death. That was unforgivable.
Starla offered a faint smile. "He's heading back to Marina City the day after tomorrow."
"And?"
"Don't worry, Dad." Starla knew what he meant. Neither Fairfax nor Herbert was worthy in her father's eyes. Frankly, she felt the same.
