After breakfast, Nathan brought the lawyer to the Fowler residence. But the moment they arrived, Edward tried

to send them away.

“Heh, feeling nervous? With all three parties here, you won’t be able to accuse May of forging documents again.” Yosef scoffed.

Edward gritted his teeth as he shot a warning glare at the lawyer to stop him from speaking out of turn. He even secretly texted the lawyer to claim that the signature was forged.

But Yosef saw right through it and ordered Nolan to confiscate all the communication devices from the lawyers

representing both parties.

The original documents were brought out for comparison. Yosef even had the attendants block Edward from getting close.

In the end, the lawyers reached a unanimous conclusion.

One of them stood up and reported, “Mr. Fowler Senior, this is indeed Mr. Edward’s signature.”

The words hit Edward like a sudden blow. He stood frozen, and his eyes reddened as he shouted, “I didn’t sign

He continued, “It was forged. I won’t accept it!”

Seeing Edward lose his composure, Nathan sighed inwardly and shook his head.

Edward had signed the divorce agreement himself, but now he couldn’t bring himself to accept it.

On the contrary, Yosef and Macie had already come to terms with it.

“I’ll have someone handle the paperwork. Once the cooling–off period is over, the divorce decree will be

delivered to your office,” Yosef said to his grandson.

“No, Grandpa. You can’t do this. Macie and I aren’t getting divorced,” Edward roared.

He continued, “You were the one who made me marry her in the first place, and now you’re telling me to get a divorce? How can you have the final say in everything?”

Yosef raised his head, his expression calm. “I admit that I forced you to marry her. But you’re the one who

signed the divorce agreement. I had no part in that.”

He went on, “I regret it now. The only mistake I made was sacrificing two years of a young woman’s life to satisfy my selfish desires by forcing her to marry you.”

Edward’s eyes widened in shock as his grandfather’s confession sank in.

Yosef admitted that he had forced Macie to marry Edward. It wasn’t Macie who had manipulated his grandfather into pressuring him to marry her.

He wondered if this was genuinely the truth.

“Mr. Levy, take Edward out of here. And if he asks you to find Macie, don’t help him,” Yosef ordered, signaling everyone to leave.

Nathan nodded, though he’d already spent four days looking for her.

Edward was basically dragged out by the housekeepers. He continued to shout that he hadn’t signed anything

and tried to tear up the documents.

Finally, the main hall fell quiet, and Yosef sighed heavily.

“Mr. Fowler Senior, I think that Mr. Fowler truly regrets his actions. Perhaps you could help bridge the gap between them?” Nolan suggested.

He continued, “Sometimes, people don’t understand the value of something until they’ve lost it. In the past,

Mr. Fowler didn’t realize how much Mrs. Fowler meant to him. But now that he does, I’m confident that they’ll

find happiness together again. You might even get to hold a great–grandchild soon.”

Yosef was silent for a few seconds, deep in thought.

What he had said earlier was intended to make Edward realize his mistake and regret his actions.

If Macie was willing to forgive his grandson, the divorce agreement could be avoided, which Yosef would

definitely prefer.

“Send a message to Mrs. Fowler. Tell her that I’d like to discuss the details of the divorce procedure with her,”

Yosef instructed.

Nolan received his instructions, sent out the message, and then made a call.

This time, the line connected.

“May, it’s me, Grandpa Yosef,” Yosef said warmly.

“Mr. Fowler Senior, can’t you handle the divorce procedure on your end?”

Macie’s cold voice was direct and distant.

Yosef felt sad when he heard her abandon calling him “Grandpa Yosef” for a distant, formal address.
