Master Ellis thought for a moment.
"It should be the local Board in Balkana."
Owen said.
"The Board's departments over there definitely have eyes and ears for the underworld. Dominic had negotiated with them before we went overseas to handle our business."
"We only have tomorrow left. Since they came here to cause trouble, we need to end this quickly tonight. It's better to take them out under the cover of darkness."
Master Ellis clenched his jaw.
"Don't alert the police, and let's not disturb the neighbors. We'll handle this ourselves."
He glanced at Mira. "Use the Necrotic Catalyst."
Owen nodded. "These men are absolutely ruthless. We can't let them stick around for long.
If we aren't careful, innocent residents in the community might get hurt."
So, the first step was to pinpoint their locations.
Mira opened her laptop and instantly hacked into the neighborhood's security cameras. Her hacking skills were now on par with Dominic West and Lucian 'The Ink' North.
She just rarely used them these days.
Mira rewound the footage to the half-hour mark before the security guard made the call, carefully scanning every single person who had entered through the main gates.
She actually spotted five suspicious individuals. Even though two of them were disguised as residents, Mira immediately noticed that something was off about them.
Then, she pulled up the full-day footage for the perimeter walls but didn't find any intruders there.
"Five men," she announced.
Previously, after replacing the school's security system, Mira had also quietly patched the blind spots in the neighborhood's surveillance without making a fuss.
Now, the entire community had zero blind spots.
"Two of them are hiding in the bushes in the garden."
These men all had communication devices on them. If they alerted the others and let them slip away, things would get messy.
"We have Veritas Dust in the house. Knock him out and bring him back for interrogation first."
As she spoke, Mira glanced to the side and saw Rachel still sitting on the couch. She quickly added, "Rachel, go to bed. We can handle this.
And remember, do not let Grandma Eleanor leave the house before we get back.
If groceries are needed, just let the bodyguards and Martha go."
"I understand, dear. Go do what you need to do."
With that, Rachel returned to her room. She knew staying out here wouldn't help them anyway. It was better to get some sleep and prepare a good breakfast in the morning.
Since this was the first intruder, Master Ellis wanted to handle it personally. He and Owen quietly slipped out the door without taking any bodyguards.
They arrived at the spot Mira had designated and, sure enough, spotted a silhouette lurking in the shadows.
Swish! Master Ellis tossed a handful of knockout powder. Just as the shadowy figure was about to collapse, Owen grabbed the man by the collar to break his fall.
