Just as they were talking, Gwen walked toward them.

"Hello, Professor Quinn," Quentin greeted her.

Gwen offered a polite nod before turning a severe look on Mira. "Even your classmate knows how to greet people. You could stand to learn some manners. You're fully grown, yet completely lacking in basic etiquette."

"You've got plenty of manners, sending your own daughter to a holding cell," Mira shot back.

"You—! So young, yet so viciously sharp-tongued."

"No matter how sharp I get, I'll never beat you at that game, Gwen."

Gwen seethed with anger, raising a hand as if to slap Mira. But something made her stop. Ultimately, she just sneered, "You just wait."

With that, she stormed off.

Truth be told, Gwen had only come to the Finance Department because she spotted Mira. Her daughter had previously mentioned that Mira intended to double major in finance next semester.
