Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 830

This entire expedition to Wall Street had been Mira's brainchild. The rest of the team had tagged along out of sheer faith in her abilities, which meant every final decision naturally deferred to her.

"Let's wait and open the accounts tomorrow morning."

They needed one more night to think things over, plus...

With their general direction locked in, they spent a bit more time scouting the Wall Street perimeter before heading back to rest.

Walking out of the exchange, they spotted Miven and Mishka again.

Given their terrible first impression, Mira's group had zero intention of exchanging pleasantries. They made a beeline for their cars.

Mishka, however, called out to Hank. "Can we speak privately?"

"No."

Hank kept walking without even a glance back.

"Are you in love with her?"

Mishka pointed an accusing finger at Mira.

"Who I have feelings for is none of your damn business."

"You're going to regret this!"

The woman shrieked, looking completely unhinged.

But Hank didn't break his stride.

Once they were out of earshot, Owen turned to Hank. "Is that psycho stalking you?"

"Just some lunatic. It's incredibly annoying."

Hank replied with clear irritation.

"Then why did she point at Mira just now?

Let me make this crystal clear—clean up your own messy love life. If this ends up affecting my Mira, don't blame me when I turn hostile."

Hank paused, taken aback. "Relax, I'll handle it."

Vaughn shot Hank a side-eye. "Why say no to a willing woman?"

Hank glared back.

"You're the one who dragged that mess over to us. If you don't deal with it, who will?"

"That doesn't mean you can just throw your buddy to the wolves."

Thankfully, the hotel's security was top-notch, meaning no one would dare start a brawl in the dining room. Plus, considering Mira's group was flanked by heavily armed bodyguards, they had nothing to fear.

Upon returning to their suites, the same room service attendant from that morning arrived with a fresh fruit platter. He dropped it off and quickly slipped away.

After locking the door, Mira lifted the platter to reveal a neatly folded piece of paper hidden underneath.

The note detailed the current situation at the exchanges. Almost all the major platforms were heavily backed by international syndicates. Comparatively, the speculative foreign capital—vast pools of money controlled by aggressive global investors—stationed at the NYSE was much weaker.

This was largely because the NYSE charged a 0.1 percent higher commission fee than its competitors.

Furthermore, the note exposed the true backgrounds of Miven and Mishka.

Miven was indeed a stockbroker from Siam, exactly as Hank had previously described.
