Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 721

"Boyfriend? Since when does she have a boyfriend? Who is it?"

Gwen fired off three questions in rapid succession.

"It's Owen Lance. You've met him."

Sebastian lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, crushed it into the ashtray, and exhaled heavily.

"Owen Lance?! How did he end up with Mira? I thought he didn't date!"

Gwen was utterly baffled.

Over the years, countless Aethelgard socialites had thrown themselves at him, and all had failed.

But Sebastian couldn't answer for Owen's personal life.

"Earlier this year, Mira and Owen were nearly involved in a fatal plane incident orchestrated by Lawrence.

The two brothers are at each other's throats. Lawrence also relentlessly targeted Mira during the bike-sharing expansion.

And now, we're handing Seraphina over to him..."

"That's a rivalry between Lawrence and Owen! It has nothing to do with us!

Mira just loves dragging herself into drama."

Eleanor shot Gwen a look of absolute disgust but kept her mouth shut.

She was simply counting down the hours until the engagement party was over so she could pack her bags, move in with Mira, and wash her hands of this miserable house forever.

"Mira is the true owner of Solflare Group. Owen just manages it for her."

"That's impossible! Did she tell you that?"

The mother and daughter yelled in unison.

"I just found out myself. Mira wouldn't joke about something like this.

Owen only holds a minority share in Solflare Group. In fact, he doesn't even have equity in some of the subsidiaries."

"No way..."

"Seraphina, do you still want to go through with this? We can call off the engagement right now.

The fallout with the Lance family will be brutal, but the Quinn Group can weather the financial hit."

"No! I am marrying Lawrence! I am going to be a Lance! I'm not changing my entire future just because of her!"

"See how much he adores you?"

Gwen beamed at her daughter.

"Wow! It's gorgeous!"

Seraphina's eyes widened in awe.

"Beautiful, right? It's the signature collection from Serendipity Jewels. Lawrence paid a fortune for it,"

Miles said proudly.

"You definitely won't be upstaged now, right?"

"Yeah, I'm going to go try it on!"

Seraphina sprinted upstairs to her room.

"Mrs. Higgins, help me to my room."

Eleanor couldn't stomach another second.

Her granddaughter had been raised in immense wealth, yet she acted exactly like her mother—shallow and utterly lacking in class!
