Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 1083

"Alright, we don't need all that formality. We're all on the same side here, so just relax and don't let this interrupt your workflow."

When Mira Mercer said this, everyone immediately felt at ease.

"Understood, Boss!"

A young man playfully snapped into a salute.

Despite the casual banter, Mr. Ashford, the manager, didn't dare show any negligence.

"Right this way, please!"

He personally escorted Mira and her group to the private dining room. Once inside, Mira turned to the manager. "You can get back to your duties. The servers here will be enough."

This room was a luxury business suite designed exclusively for VIPs.

The space was massive, furnished with high-end leather sofas and a sleek coffee table. Lush potted plants, a pristine aquarium, and a premium espresso machine sat in the corners. The cabinets were fully stocked with assorted beverages, gourmet pastries, and fresh fruit.

Two servers were stationed inside the suite, dedicated solely to attending the guests.

The outer parlor even featured a separate dining table, set up specifically for bodyguards and escorts.

Of course, it was highly likely that some of these premium amenities had been specially arranged just for Mira's visit.

About five minutes later, Sebastian Quinn arrived. He didn't bring Gwen this time; it was just a father-and-son duo.

As the two men walked in, Mira instructed the server to bring out the food. "Sebastian, let's talk while we eat."

"How has Eleanor's health been lately?"

"She's doing alright. We have her on a specialized medication regimen, so her condition is relatively stable.

Just make sure she doesn't suffer any sudden shocks."

The underlying message was clear: keep your family's messy drama far away from Eleanor, and preferably, keep your family members out of her sight altogether.

"As long as she's stable, that's what matters.

There is one thing I wanted to discuss with you, though. I've brought Lawrence Lance into the Quinn Group."

Sebastian finally broke the ice.

"The Quinn Group belongs to you, Sebastian. You don't need to report your business decisions to us,"

Owen Lance replied with a faint smile.

He shifted his gaze to Sebastian. "Do you share that same sentiment?"

"Owen, regardless of what happened in the past, that was all the previous generation's doing."

"It seems you and your son share the exact same mindset. In that case, we have nothing left to talk about."

Owen stared down the father and son.

"Owen, the events of the past happened so many years ago. It's time to let it go."

Sebastian still refused to give up.

His entire purpose for bringing his son today was to sit down with Mira and Owen, hoping to persuade them to drop their vendetta and stop targeting Lawrence.

"Let it go? Sebastian, they murdered my mother, and you're telling me to let it go! Would I even be human if I did?

Back then, I nearly died by Jocelyn's hand myself. Every single nightmare of my childhood stems from them, and you have the nerve to tell me to let it go?"

"Didn't your mother die in an accident?"

Miles asked, bewildered.
