Hiding behind the hill, Mira and the team felt the ground tremble violently beneath their feet.

After the flames subsided, the gate was blown wide open, and all three layers of the electric fence had been obliterated. The power grid connected to the fences was also completely destroyed by the blast.

"Why is the inside of the hospital still brightly lit?"

Jax Weaver asked.

There had just been a massive explosion, after all.

"It just means the fences and the hospital operate on different electrical grids."

Owen replied.

"The infrastructure here isn't interconnected like it is back home in Mavaria. They rely heavily on private generators.

Zones can be isolated without affecting each other."

"Let's go. Into the hospital."

Once the scorched earth had cooled slightly, it was time for Mira and the team to uncover the sins hidden within this facility.

Following such a massive blast, the high-altitude guard posts were temporarily abandoned, and the external electric grid was completely fried. The explosives buried in the inner courtyard had also been fully detonated.

"I wonder what idiot suggested burying explosives at the main gate,"

Callum Young laughed.

"They wanted to detonate them as we walked past to blow us to pieces. If our informant hadn't tipped us off, we might have actually fallen for it."

Mira pointed out.

"But the interior of the hospital is still intact, so we need to be incredibly careful."

"But if they use bombs inside, won't they destroy their own hospital too?"
