Tonight, Her Love Ended novel Chapter 7

As Nova walked away, she could hear Yasmin hurling vicious insults behind her. She was definitely going straight to Tristan to complain.

In the past, desperate to salvage her reputation in Tristan's eyes, Nova would have swallowed the abuse from Yasmin and Felipa without a word. She would have even bent over backwards to appease them.

But not anymore!

Still, you don't just turn off five years of love overnight.

She would cry, and it would hurt, but she was done loving him.

...

Arriving at the meeting spot, Nova immediately spotted Samuel constantly checking the entrance.

She waved at him, but he looked right past her.

"Samuel," Nova said, walking right up to him.

Samuel pulled his gaze away from the door and looked at the woman standing before him in a bulky black coat. He studied her for a moment, disbelief washing over his face. It took him a few seconds to process. "Are you... Nova?"

Nova let out a self-deprecating laugh. The reflection in the window showed a bloated, exhausted woman with sallow skin covered in dark pregnancy patches. She couldn't blame him for not recognizing her.

If she told anyone she used to be the most beautiful girl at Jeverburg University, they'd think she was lying.

"It's me, Samuel. I'm Nova."

Samuel was floored. The Nova he remembered was brilliant and radiant. In just three years, she had let herself deteriorate into this. She looked like a worn-out housewife.

But the shock quickly gave way to a deep, aching pity. He wanted to beg her to leave Tristan and come back to be the vice president of their company, but the words died in his throat.

She loved Tristan so much that she had destroyed herself for him. How could she possibly walk away? Especially now that she was carrying his child.
