Winona completely ignored him. Taking Greta by the hand, she and Stefan walked right past without a second glance.
Yulen didn't try to stop them.
Beside him, Tallulah flashed a triumphant smile, while baby Stanley babbled happily in his stroller.
"Come on, Yulen, let's take Stanley inside to look at the fish," she urged gently.
Yulen gave a stiff nod and gestured for the nanny to push the stroller forward.
The only reason he and Tallulah were currently playing the part of a happy family was because of his father. The recent crisis at the company had alarmed Leopold Locke enough to cut his international expansion trip short.
The moment Leopold had touched down in Riverton, he had unleashed a terrifying tirade, brutally reprimanding Yulen, Willow, and Tallulah. As for his three daughters, since they were already married off, he deemed them their husbands' problems and refused to acknowledge them.
After the screaming match, Leopold had dragged Yulen into his private study and laid down three non-negotiable laws:
"First, marriage is the bedrock of an empire. You and Tallulah are legally bound. I don't care who you entertain in private, but you will fulfill your duty to this family. You will secure her position as your wife. That is the only way Stanley's inheritance remains undisputed, and the company remains stable.
"Second, Sylvan Scully has agreed to inject capital into the project, and the R&D disaster is handled. Tallulah is permanently relieved of her corporate duties. She stays home and raises my grandson.
"Third, I don't give a damn if you two hate each other behind closed doors. When you step into the public eye, you are a devoted, loving couple. For a titan of industry, a rock-solid marriage is the ultimate invisible asset. It breeds trust among investors."
Faced with his father's ultimatum, Yulen had no choice but to swallow his pride and tolerate his marriage. As long as Tallulah didn't cause any more hysterical scenes, he would give her the public respect she demanded.
Inside the underwater tunnel, schools of vibrant fish glided overhead, making the visitors feel as though they were walking across the ocean floor. The serene blue light rippling through the water was an instant cure for Winona's stress.
Greta tapped her smartwatch and video-called Helena. "Mom! I'm at the aquarium! Look at all the huge fish!"
Checking the time, Winona gently tapped Greta's shoulder. "The penguin feeding show is about to start. Let's head over."
Greta quickly waved goodbye to her mother and grabbed Winona's hand, practically dragging her forward.
"Hold on a second," Stefan called out.
