The Wife He Forgot to Marry (Winona and Yule) novel Chapter 471

Seeing Winona glowing with the undeniable radiance of a woman nourished by love, Tallulah Shipley felt a vicious spike of jealousy. Shirley Maddox, standing beside her, glared at Winona with equal disdain, thoroughly convinced that Winona was shamelessly keeping Zack Charlton on the hook as a backup plan while sleeping with Stefan Goddard.

Winona had zero interest in entertaining them. She grabbed Rhea Sheffield's arm, ready to walk away.

"You probably haven't heard, Winona," Tallulah called out, unable to hold her tongue. "I'm pregnant with baby number two."

Having learned her lesson from her first pregnancy, Tallulah had been strictly managing her diet, secretly dumping the rich soups her mother-in-law prepared for her. There was no way she was going to let Winona outshine her looks.

Winona's expression didn't so much as flicker. "Congratulations," she replied dryly.

Her utter indifference felt like a punch landing on cotton. Gritting her teeth, Tallulah pushed harder. "I'm already on my second, and you might never be able to have even one. I know a few top-tier gynecologists who specialize in infertility. Want me to set up an introduction?"

"No need," Winona said coldly. "Worry about yourself. Pregnant again so soon? If Yulen Locke actually cared about your well-being, he wouldn't have let this happen."

The truth hit a raw nerve. "What do you know?" Tallulah snapped. "Yulen and I have an amazing relationship. I don't need you trying to drive a wedge between us! Besides, I have the title of his wife, and I have his children. What do you have? You're just damaged goods clinging to Stefan Goddard. He treats you like a shiny new toy. You think he's actually going to commit to you? You're so naive!"

Winona let out a short, mocking laugh. "If you're so blissfully happy, why are you losing your mind right now? Keep a tighter leash on Yulen so he stops harassing me. I'd be incredibly grateful."

With that, she and Rhea walked away.

The encounter left a sour taste in Tallulah's mouth. If Yulen would just stop seeking Winona out, she wouldn't have to deal with this humiliation. Sensing her foul mood, Shirley kept quiet. After wandering the mall aimlessly, Tallulah lost her appetite for shopping and headed for the exit.

Just as they stepped outside, she spotted Winona pulling away in an ordinary, mid-range sedan. A smug smile immediately returned to Tallulah's face. "I knew it," she told Shirley. "Stefan Goddard acts like he treats her so well, but he's incredibly cheap with her. He won't even buy her a luxury car. How much could he really care?"
