His Wife Is Back 

3RD POV: 

“I mean us. Our marriage. It feels like we are on a break like a random couple.” His voice was quiet, alınost fragile. “We don’t fly to see each other anymore, there are no calls you just ignore my calls and text messages, we don’t sleep under the same roof… but I don’t feel like we’re really together anymore. I know it’s my fault but….what does this mean for us.” 

Cherry looked down at her hands, twisting her ring. The silence stretched, broken only by the hum of the hospital air conditioner. 

“I don’t know, Jacob,” she finally whispered. “I honestly don’t know.” 

His chest tightened and he closed his eyes tightly. “That’s not an answer. 

“It’s the only one I have right now.” Her eyes glistened. “I care about you, I do. But everything’s been so messy. With Elijah, with our families, with both our jobs, with everything that happened.. I don’t even know who I am in the middle of all this anymore.” 

He stared at her for a long moment, then nodded slowly, the hurt settling deep behind his eyes. “I get it.” 

“Do you?” She asked raising her eyebrow. 

He gave a sad smile. “Yeah. Because you still have a lot to think about but I’m sure..I want us together, I want the both of us happy and focusing on our careers until we are ready to settle down and start a family, I want to keep flying to different countries to see you and we spend time there, making love and trying out amazing dishes. You are all I want.” 

Cherry sniffled looking into his eyes and seeing the sincerity in them but she remained silent. So theyjust sat there, two people still bound by love and loyalty, but separated by too much pain and silence to reach each other. 1 

What screw is missing in this broad’s brain? Lucas muttered making Cherry, Jacob and Martin laugh out loud. Hannah chuckled and walking towards the door. 

“Hannah, Elijah is mine! I have been by his side longer than you’ve ever been. Step away!” She shouted again and Jacob was about to walk towards her and drag her back but Cherry held him and whispered, “Hannah got it.” 

Everyone could see the condescending look on Hannah’s face, staring at Janet with disgust and pity, “You are embarrassing! You’ve been with him for that long, and thank you for your service but HIS WIFE is back. 

Lucas clapped but Martin held him for continuing and chuckled, “So I advice you to leave here this instant as you are a threat to everyone here and disrupting the peace of this establishment.” 

And with that, Hannah walked into the VIP room and Janet stood there with tears in her eyes, clenching and unclenching her jaw.
