The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 91

The living room fell dead silent.

As Juno walked further in, the terrifying aura radiating from her thickened.

Jason Webb had been slouching carelessly on the sofa, his feet propped up on the coffee table. Watching her get closer, he instinctively lowered his feet and sat up straight.

A second later, he caught himself. Why the hell was he so scared?

With that thought, he went right back to his slouch.

Morgan didn't hesitate. His hand sliced through the air with a chilling sound, and he ruthlessly broke Jason's leg.

"Ahhh!" Jason let out a bloodcurdling scream, his eyes instantly bloodshot.

His leg was bent at a sickening angle.

"My baby!"

Cynthia jumped up and rushed to help her son aside.

Morgan pulled out a pocket square, laying it on the sofa before Juno finally sat down.

Cynthia panicked, looking for someone to blame. "Arthur Mercer! Look at what your daughter did to my son!"

Arthur was still intimidated by Juno. "Juno... what... what brings you here today?"

"I heard someone wanted to beat me up. Since they didn't come to my door, I figured I'd come to theirs."

Her face was ice-cold as she spoke.

Arthur forced an awkward smile. "You always make such great jokes."

Juno didn't waste time on pointless pleasantries. "I'm here for the money. Five million."

At that, Cynthia was the first to object. "Caleb gave that to us out of respect! What gives you the right to take it back?!"

"Caleb embezzled five million from the company. If you don't cough it up, he's the one going to prison."

Cynthia threw a fit. "I don't care! The money was given to us, which makes it ours! I don't care where it came from. If you want it, go find Caleb. He's the one who took company funds, not us!"

Arthur looked pained. "We really can't come up with that kind of cash... But your brother is so young. Do you really have the heart to send him away?"

Their excuses made Morgan raise an eyebrow.

If Juno collected the money today, she could quietly put it back into the company accounts. But if Margie Corrington intervened, it wouldn't end with Juno turning a blind eye.

At worst, this was just Juno dealing with terrible people, but the ones who were going to truly suffer were them.

"Since you put it that way, I won't waste any more of my time here."
