Juno thought the older woman was being completely unreasonable. "There's really no need for that, Grandma."
She genuinely felt that attending classes was a massive waste of time.
"I know the principal at Northbridge. I've already arranged a meeting for this week, and you are coming with me."
"That's nepotism, Grandma," Juno reasoned with a sigh.
Gerda stared at her, her gaze unyielding. "As long as you prove to the principal that you're worth it, it's not nepotism. It just means they almost missed out on a brilliant talent."
Juno couldn't quite understand why Gerda had such unshakeable faith in her.
She paused for a moment, noticing how the old woman's confidence felt as though she knew exactly who Juno had been in her past life.
At noon, Juno grabbed lunch with Kian Zimmer and Morgan.
Kian's handsome face remained devoid of much emotion. "Looks like you finally have the chance to attend Northbridge."
Morgan maintained his usual poised demeanor. "Indeed. Sitting in a community college is a blatant waste of time."
Forget about Juno—even Morgan felt like he was losing brain cells just standing on the campus.
Someone needed to save this girl from mediocrity.
Kian paused midway through pouring himself a drink. "You finally have a grandmother who spoils you."
Juno never fought for anything, but Gerda was more than willing to fight on her behalf.
Since Juno considered all schools to be equally pointless, she might as well endure the boredom at the best institution available.
Without asking for permission, Gerda took it upon herself to formally withdraw Juno from her current college.
Now, she didn't even have to attend classes.
When Juno returned to the estate that evening, Gwendolyn wasn't surprised to see her. She clearly already knew about Gerda's aggressive academic rearranging.
Gwendolyn welcomed her in, gesturing for her to sit on the couch opposite her. "Have you eaten?"
"Yes."
