Kaelen slammed his hand on the table and stood up. "So insolent!!"

Juno remained completely still on the sofa, eyeing him coldly.

For a junior to act with such defiance, it was no wonder Kaelen lost his temper.

"Is this how you speak to your elders?!" Kaelen demanded, utterly baffled.

Juno wasn't the least bit intimidated. "You're the one who started being unreasonable."

"Trash from the outside will always be trash. You're feral to the bone. If you weren't Gwendolyn's daughter, I wouldn't have held back!"

"You're talking as if you're holding back right now," Juno chuckled.

Compared to Kaelen's furious, eye-bulging rage, Juno was the picture of perfect composure, effortlessly holding her ground.

Just then, a maid brought out some coffee.

Juno spoke up, "Drink some coffee, it'll help you cool down."

Kaelen swept the cup away and turned to storm out, nearly bumping into Rhiannon as she walked in.

Rhiannon froze for a moment.

Kaelen then remembered he had come today to pick up Rhiannon's drafts.

"Rhiannon, how are your drafts coming along?"

Rhiannon quickly pulled them out of her bag and handed them over. "Here they are, Uncle Kaelen."

Just as Kaelen took them, Rhiannon added, "Uncle Kaelen, Juno drew some too. She might want to participate. Why don't you take a look at hers as well?"

Kaelen was still seething. "Someone with such poor character could draw a masterpiece and I still wouldn't glance at it!"

Every word dripping with his absolute disdain for Juno.

He glanced back at the sofa, where Juno was sipping her coffee as if she hadn't heard a thing.

Kaelen rolled his eyes and stormed off.

In front of everyone, Rhiannon tried to advise Juno. "Why do you have to act like this? If you were nicer to Uncle Kaelen, maybe he'd give you a chance next time."

"I'm not in the habit of begging."

The word 'begging' was a sharp jab.

Rhiannon's face flushed pale with anger, yet in the end, she decided it wasn't worth lowering herself to Juno's level.
