"Rest assured, the bloodline of the Langley family doesn't fall easily. Fate favors the bold, and I am more certain than ever that they are still alive. They're waiting for rescue or fighting their way out. What we need to do isn't collapse in a heap; we need to hold the line, mobilize every resource we have, and pave the way for them to come home!"
Letty looked up, her tear-streaked face meeting Dante's bloodshot but fiercely resolute eyes.
His words acted like a shot of adrenaline, clearing through the fog of her panic.
She sniffled hard, her chest heaving as she fought back her tears, and gave a jagged nod. "You're right, Dante. I can't fall apart. I absolutely can't."
She gripped his hand back, her knuckles turning white, her voice finding some of its former strength. "I'm going to save them. I will bring my son and Leilani back safely. Tell me what you need me to do."
Dante thought for a moment. "Why don't you get in touch with your sister's side of the family? If I recall, the Fultons have quite a few connections in that arena."
It was like throwing a lifeline to a drowning woman. Letty nodded frantically. "Yes! Yes, Libby! The Fultons started out in international security. They definitely have channels in Northern Myanor. I'm calling her right now!"
Letty fumbled for her phone. Her fingers were trembling so violently that she messed up her passcode a few times, the cold metal device nearly slipping from her sweaty palms.
Dante commanded gently, "Letty, don't panic. Keep your composure. If you're completely hysterical, you'll only scare your sister and waste precious time."
"I need you to use every connection the Fulton family has over there. No matter the cost, find out where they are!"
"Northern Myanor? Mitchina? Oh my god! Why on earth would they go to a place like that?"
Libby sucked in a sharp breath, her tone shifting to absolute, commanding seriousness. "Letty, tell Dante not to panic. I've got this."
"Our company has worked with several highly reputable international security firms over there for years, and we have ties with the local factions. Hang tight. I'm waking Donovan up right now. I'll have him handle it personally. We'll pull every string we have. Money, manpower, favors—none of it matters!"
