Celia had been terrified by the hospital's sudden call. Because it involved her grandfather, she had rushed over immediately, barely registering what the person on the phone had actually said.
Alistair was far more composed; he had already been briefed on the hospital's updates in advance.
"Because Mr. Stafford's overall physical condition is quite strong, I personally recommend he travel abroad for this treatment. The probability of recovery is very high."
The doctor smiled kindly. "Of course, the final decision is up to the family. The treatment process will be quite lengthy."
Hearing the doctor's explanation, the tension finally bled from Celia's body.
With the news being so positive, her tone softened significantly. "Doctor, what's a conservative estimate for how long it will take?"
"At least two months," the doctor replied with a reassuring smile. "You can discuss it with your family before making a decision."
"Understood. Thank you, Doctor."
A smile touched the corners of Celia's lips.
It was incredible news!
The doctor excused himself, leaving Celia and Alistair alone in the corridor.
"Well? What do you think?" Alistair asked her.
"He has to go, of course!" Celia looked up at him, her eyes shining. "Grandpa's health is the most important thing."
Alistair nodded. He respected her decision and agreed that going abroad for this treatment was the best course of action.
"Let's go see him first."
"Okay."
They made their way to the private suite. Thanks to his recent medications, Sheridan was in high spirits.
The moment he saw Alistair, his face lit up. "Alistair, you're here!"
Carrying some high-end nutritional supplements, Alistair offered a polite, respectful bow. "Mr. Stafford."
