The Platonic Trap novel Chapter 5

Celia opened the door. The moment she saw the face on the other side, a fleeting smile of triumph flashed across her lips.

But outwardly, she feigned shock, her eyes widening. "Norma? What are you doing here?"

Talbot had a younger sister, Norma Forrester. She was the same age as Celia, and they had attended Capital University together. Back then, a wealthy heir had relentlessly pursued Norma—roses, luxury cars, designer watches, and bags. It was a massive spectacle that everyone on campus knew about. Norma had never accepted his advances, but she had never rejected his lavish gifts either.

Later, that same heir happened to bump into Celia. He instantly dropped Norma and began aggressively pursuing Celia instead. Overnight, Norma became the laughingstock of the entire university.

And that was the genesis of her hatred for Celia.

If Norma had a hobby, it was stealing Celia's things. Throughout their college years, whatever Celia wanted, Norma would stubbornly insert herself into the situation and do everything in her power to snatch it away.

Celia knew this perfectly well, which was exactly why she had "invited" her over to help today.

Glancing at Celia, Norma pushed past her into the living room, a smug smile on her face. "I saw your post last night about getting some new clothes delivered. I came over specifically to help you pick out what looks best."

She called it "helping," but it was painfully obvious she was here to claim the clothes for herself.

Celia forced her lips into a tight line, looking hesitant. "Norma, I'm actually expecting a guest soon. Could we maybe do this tomorrow..."

"What is that supposed to mean, Celia?" Norma glared at her, deeply offended. "You're kicking me out because some outsider is coming over? My brother told you to treat me like your own sister. Aren't you afraid I'll tell him you're bullying me?"

In Norma's eyes, Talbot was Celia's ultimate weakness. Everyone in their social circle knew Celia was completely head over heels for Talbot.
