Ken actually had a rather good impression of Celia.
And judging by how she usually interacted with her grandfather, she really didn't seem like the type to ever get into a fight with him.
As Alistair's assistant, Ken was always careful with his words. Knowing this involved the Stafford Family's private matters, he tactfully decided not to pry.
He just smiled. "There's a generational gap between them. It's normal to have a little friction sometimes."
"Sigh, if only it were just a little friction," Alfred said, showing no intention of dropping the subject, his face filled with regret. "Mr. Forrester said that out of jealousy toward his intern, Ms. Stafford deliberately caused trouble for her at school and tried to sabotage her scholarship."
Ken froze, completely caught off guard.
Alfred's expression grew heavy. "Apparently, the intern comes from a disadvantaged background and relies heavily on that scholarship just to get by."
Ken frowned, his tone darkening. "Perhaps there's been a misunderstanding. Ms. Stafford doesn't... strike me as that kind of person."
"Even the intern herself admitted it," Alfred said, his eyes filled with disappointment. "The master might have forgotten a lot of things, but the Stafford Family has always prided itself on integrity. When he found out she did something like this, he was so furious he nearly ended up back in the hospital."
"Sigh, I really don't know why she's become like this—hurting innocent people just out of jealousy. The master has been in terrible spirits for days over this, taking extra medication just to cope."
"She hasn't been back to the villa at all. She's still throwing a tantrum."
Hearing Alfred's words, Ken's expression grew even more solemn.
Without saying anything else to the butler, Ken forced a polite smile and turned to leave.
Watching his retreating back, Alfred pulled out his phone and sent Celia a text.
