The Man Who Never Looked Away novel Chapter 330

"Yes." Garnett said.

Lavinia didn't expect him to be so straightforward and was stunned for a moment.

She walked past him towards the door, "I'm going back."

This was a villa, decorated in a Southern French style. The paintings on the walls and the art pieces seen everywhere all highlighted the owner's taste.

But Lavinia was in no mood to appreciate them. She hurried down the hallway, downstairs, and into the first-floor living room.

She walked to the front door and pulled it. Locked. Pulled again. It didn't budge.

Garnett's voice came from behind, "There isn't a single household for miles around here. There are security guards outside. Without my permission, they won't let you leave."

Lavinia turned around and glared at him, "What exactly do you want?"

"I want to take you home." He gazed at her, paused, his voice turning hoarse, "Back to the home that belongs only to the two of us."

Lavinia looked at him, her lips moving, her voice trembling slightly: "Garnett, are you crazy?"

"I'm not crazy. I'm very calm right now."

He walked towards her, stopped in front of her, his gaze becoming gentler: "Lavinia, until your heart comes home, neither of us can leave."

Lavinia's hands and feet went ice cold instantly.

Garnett's Adam's apple bobbed up and down. She was finally back by his side. This time, she absolutely could not leave him alone where he stood again.

Last time in the mountains, he walked for two hours to go see her.

He finally let go of all his pride, confessed to her, and spoke the words that had been weighing on his heart.

He thought she would at least be a little moved, but who knew she would pull her hand out of his, stand up coldly, and walk away.

That night, he didn't close his eyes.

He had planned to confess to her again the next day, thinking she would at least consider it more seriously, but unexpectedly she went down the mountain overnight with that man.

They treated him like a fool. Did they think he didn't know it was an elopement?
