Ophelia gritted her teeth and held her head up high. As the men holding her applied further pressure, her eyes changed into a sharper, furious golden reptile–like appearance. She had a silver of faith in Nikolai, knowing that he wouldn’t harm her brother, but she couldn’t help but harbor serious misgivings in the wake of his prior deeds. ↑
Upon hearing Nikolai’s words, Yakim’s countenance grew gloomy. He had thought that the crowd would disagree, but after a protracted period of eerie silence, the people started to yell and whoop in excitement.
He sighed as he turned to face the stage and saw Nikolai staring at him with a look of utter innocence, as if he had not just casually slaughtered two opponents earlier.
“Any shenanigans would result in the death of your so–called mate.” Alexander warned his son, gesturing to his brother to show agreement
with Nikolai’s statements.
Nikolai glanced at his father, grinning. “Why don’t we behave like civilized beings, Father?”
Alexander snorted. “Why not at least try to avoid disappointing me for the first time ever?” He questioned Nikolai, giving off the impression that he was really disappointed.
“Can’t you see me at least as your son and not a tool?” Nikolai questioned with a raised eyebrow. He then smiled and turned his head aside, not wanting to bring up a subject that would enrage him. “Shall we strike a deal?”
“What?” Alexander queried with a hint of surprise.
Devin’s neck was freed by Nikolai, who then took the ax off of it, slung it

over his shoulder, and pointed it at his father. “First, tell them to keep their hands off of my mate.”
Alexander let out a long sigh, squeezing the flesh beneath his brows. “The dragons are our foes, therefore I don’t know what’s wrong with you.” He
half yelled.
“That dragon is my mate, and my brother–in–law is the dragon in the main ground. Do you not see? Are you blind?” Nikolai asked breathing in frustration then stared at Alexander as if he were the most illiterate
person in the world.
Danil let out an aggravated sigh, “Oh, please kill me.”
“I suggest we avoid destroying this competition with our personal problems.” Anastasia spoke out, frowning slightly.
Nikolai shook his head, clicking his tongue. “I’ll be the best son you could have asked for if you order them Alexander.” With blatantly deceptive tones, he said.
“If I do that, you will begin participating in Celestia’s engagement in every field starting from today.” Alexander grumbled, oblivious to the fact that he felt as though he was actually striking a bargain with the devil, and that
the devil was his son.
Nikolai grinned. “Deal.”
“Danil, slay that dragon; guards, release the dragoness.” With ease,
Alexander made his orders.
The men promptly let go of Ophelia and she let out a strained gasp.
Danil got up from the chair, beaming with accomplishment. Using his speed, he reached the main ground, raising his hands and grinning at the excitement of the Arena.

Anastasia Novikov cast a block out spell on the stage to prevent any kind of eavesdropping, so the ground was unable to overhear Nikolai and Alexander’s conversation. Her family was only making her feel embarrassed, and it was all due to Nikolai’s presence.
Standing up, Ophelia dusted her attire. Lev, who appeared enraged and worn out, was the focus of her severe gaze.
“Start the battle now!” Yakim screamed, and the audience cheered.
“You left the chains on!” Ophelia shouted at Alexander, but he remained silent.
Deeply sighing, Nikolai reclined his chair. “Let the family ties shine through.” He muttered, clicking his tongue.
In rage, Ophelia clinched her hand. After this, she was undoubtedly going to give Nikolai a harsh lesson. She and her brother were being forced into his crazy antics. He would think twice before repeating what he had done today after she was finished with him.
Meanwhile, in the main ground, Danil laughed at Lev who was glaring at him menacingly. “You’re only a child. It will be such a sad and premature death.”
“Keep talking, and I’ll burn you to death.” Lev grizzled.
Danil chuckled once more, “Seems the rage runs in the family,” and struck Lev hard in the stomach. The hit knocked the young dragon to the ground, and blood immediately began to flow from his nostrils.
“All kinds of talent runs in mine,” Danil bragged.
“Your family is nothing but filled with psychopaths,” Lev laughed while
displaying thick, bloody teeth. The smile on Danil’s face was erased by his
comments.

“Is that so?” As Danil moved toward the young dragon, the crowd erupted in unrelenting jubilation.
Ophelia puffed vehemently. She began to run towards the main ground, flames surrounding her as though she were burning in hell and strong golden wings sprang from her back.
Nikolai, who appeared astonished, stood up. “Fuck!” He had obviously not anticipated that.
“Anastasia, stop her.” While his wife was transfixed in shock, Albert gently touched her.
